The primary reason for ending the support for the game was given by CD Projekt Red last month that they will be focusing only on the PC and Console gaming sector, and the side gaming projects that are not related to PC or Console will be outsourced to partner studios.  And it is understandable as there are a bunch of projects slated for future releases by CD Projekt Red, including the new Witcher Saga, The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Upgrade, the sequel of Cyberpunk 2077, the Game of the year edition of Cyberpunk 2077, and an all-new expansion for Cyberpunk, Phantom Liberty.  The studio has gained fans’ trust again after the resurgence of players returning to Cyberpunk 2077 after the release of Cyberpunk Edgerunners and the update 1.6 that fixed all the major issues that the game suffered at its launch. And now the fans are looking forward to the next major title from the studio with high hopes that this time the devs will nail their next release with the best experience and content for the players.  Other than The Witcher: Monster Slayer, the other Witcher game available for smartphones is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by CD Projekt. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, Android, IOS, macOS, and PC. CD Projekt Red has also confirmed that the support for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will end next year, but they are not completely shutting it down. They have plans to release 72 more Gwent cards across three expansions in April, July, and September 2023. In addition, monthly patches, including reworks and balance changes, will continue next year before the game switches to a new community-focused approach in 2024. As stated by CD Projekt Red: So, what are your thoughts about this? Let us know in the comment section below. We’re working on the solution which will allow players to do it directly in the Gwent client so it’s not some complicated external system.” -Transcribed by VGC
